OBITUARY.

MR WILL CROOKS. LONDON, June 9. The death is anounced of Mr Will Crooks, ex-Labour member in the House of Commons for Woolwich. Tho late Air Crooks was born on April 6, 1852. He represented the British Labour Party in the House of Commons from 1903 to 1910. He was again returned for Woolwich in December, 1910, and represented that constituency until his retirement recently on account of his failing health. He was elected a Privy Councillor in 1916. Touching scenes were witnessed at Poplar Church, where the body of Mr Will Crooks lay. An unceasing procession of all classes filed past the bier, over which guards of fellow workers kept continuous vigil. MR J. HAVARD THOMAS. LONDON, June 7. Aloiineaux, Inspector of the Bank of New Mouth Wales, dropped dead to-night. Mr Aloiineaux came to New Zealand in January, 1891. and took up the duties of inspector of the bank in the dominion.
