The ordinary meeting of the Otago Land Beard was held on the B,h, and was attended by Messrs R. T. Ratio (chairman), T. A. Munro, James Smith, C. J. Inder, and Cf. Livingstone. William Davidson Ferguson applied lor 136 acres, section Is, Kelso Settlement. — Approved. Ihe application of Archibald Uyslop for 211 acres, section ss, Pukeawa Settlement, was declined. The Tuapeka County Council sub:.fitted proposals for ihe expenditure of £ll3 Is 2d. Approved. The Waifaki County Council submitted proposals for the expenditure of £1351 13s 5d. — Approved, conditionally on a satisfactory report from the ranger. The board also approved of the Clutha County Council expending £94 15s lid, and the Taieri County Council £52 2s lOd. The transfer cf section 12G. Ardgowan Settlement, 17a 2r 31 p, from Mary Jano La rev to Thomas .Tonkin was approved. Tee transfer of half interest in section 12, Mock \ 11, Swir.bnrn, 243 a lr, from Ernest and A. Carey to Alfred Carev was approved. The transfer of section 4, block XI. Moeroki. 309 a Or 20p, from Basil 11. Wilkinson to Matthew S. Holmes was approved. Tlio application by E. J. Brown for a revaluation of section sn. Waitahuna Settlemen: No. 2, was submitted to the Valuation Committee. Report on Maerewhenua. Commonage.—lt was resolved that the- resolution cf December 22. 1920, should be rescinded, and that amended valuations of land be adopted. Further, that the value of fencing be res'— .-tivelv 29s and 30s per chain. Objectors to v a.! lies to have option cf removal of fencing within three months.—Applications approved. The application by D. L. M'Coll for a right to mine for coal on part section sa. Duncan Settlement, under section 190 of the Land Act, 1908, was approved, and it was decided to issue n lignite license for three years; royalty. Gd per ton ; price at pit mouth. 15s. A letter was received from the district secrctaiy, Returned Soldiers’ Association, urging the immediate- revaluation of sections in the Clifton Settlement,—Received. A proposal to cancel the license over area in block IX, North Harbour and Blneskin Sub-d strict, and to issue a new one to Lloyd Rankin, was approved. Application for a renewal of a sawmill site becise, pait section 18, block XI, Woodland Subdivision.—Resolved to grant renewal to the present licensee- for a period of seven years at £1 per annum. W. O. Watt, licensee of section 5, block Ik. town cf Balclutha (E.R.), gave notico that he did not dcs-re to renew license, area 1 rood, rent 10s per annum.—License cancelled as from April 30, 1921. If was decided that the board should meet monthly in future instead of fortnightly.
