Speaking at the council me ting of the Wellington (Tmrnher of (’onimercT, Mr 11. S. Hart dated that Hongkong imports each year £450.000 worth of sole leather alone. New Zealand grew the hides, and could easily supply tho leather, but at present silo supplied none of it.
