Particulars are os follow: EOT I.—The HOMESTEAD BLOCK, comprising 456 Acres; practically all good level land, in excellent order, well subdivided and laid off with shelter plantation. Heifers, and Bulls, including the imported Bulls DIAMOND PRINCE, KNAPDALE MAO, and CUDHAM PURE GOLD; and the Knapdale Stud of ROMNEY MARSH SHEEP, registered N.Z.R.M.F.B. 295, comprising 140 stud Ewes, 36 stud Rams, and about 90 stud Ewe and Ram Lambs, 2 teams working Draught Horses; full range of Farm Implements, Harness, etc., etc. NOTE.—'The Knapdale Stud of Shorthorn Cattle and Romney Marsh Sheep is one of the leading Studs in the Dominion to-day, and has met with considerable success at the various Shows in Canterbury and Otago. The foundation of the Shorthorn Cattle was laid by the importation from Aberdeenshire by the late Dr M‘Nab of the well-known sice DIAMOND PRINCE, together with two in-calf Heifers, and this was added to by the selection of several additional Cows end Heifers from the well-known stud of Messrs R. D. D M'Lean and Arch. MT.oan, of Hawke’s Bay; Mr Gibson, Kiwitea. Feilding; the old-established herd of Mr Henry Pannett, Springston, Canterbury ; and the herds of Messrs Robert Cro'mbie and Robert Miller, Otago. The Romney Marsh Flock (R.M.F.B. 295) was founded in 1911 by the purchase of ewes from Mr Ernest Short’s well-known Parorangi Stud at Feilding (Regd. R.M.F.B. 77). These were mated to selected sires from the late Mr T. L. Barnhill’s Castlerock Flock (R.M.F.B. 172). The Rams from this flock invariably top the market at the Ram Fairs each year. The Horses and Agricultural Machinery are of a very high order, and altogether the Sale offers a unique opportunity for buyers to secure • a first-class stock and plant, and one of the most up-to-date Stud Farms in the Dominion. The LAND SALE will be held at Gore on SATURDAY, March 5, 1921, and the STOCK and PLANT will be offered at the Homestead on WEDNESDAY, March 9, 1921.
