HAWKE’S BAY FRUITGROWERS.
FIRE BLIGHT MENACE. WELLINGTON, February 21. The following resolutions were carried at a general meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Fruitgrowers’ Association on Saturday: That a special meeting of the directors of the New Zealand Fruitgrowers’ Federation be held during the second week of March for the purpose of presenting a Bill to Parliament dealing with the fire blight question. That a special provincial conference be called m each district for the purpose of appointing at least one delegate from each provincial conference to support the federation director representing that district- when the federation directors meet the Government. That the annual conference be held on the date fixed for last conference.
