DIPLOMA OF COMMERCE
GROUP SCHEME SUGGESTED. WELLINGTON, February- 25. A scheme for establishing e diploma of commerce was considered v representatives of the Bankers’, Insurance, and Shipping Officers’ Guilds, and of the New Zealand Society of Accountants yesterday. The scheme was presented by the Dunedin Committee representative of the Otago University-, the Society of Accountants, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Manufacturers’ Association. The suggested groups are: — An industry group, a banking and finance group, a shipping and transport group, an insurance group, and a political science group. The proposal was most favourably received, tho guild representatives undertaking to get into touch with the employers, asking them to co-operate in furthering the scheme, which in due course will be placed before the University Senate for
