MOTOR VIGILANCE CORPS.

A few weeks ago the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria inaugurated a vigilance corps, the memhers of which are taking turns on duty in watching motor traffic, and will report to the club instances of negligent, inconsiderate, or reckless driving for investigation bjc the committee. Drivers are to be reported also who pass on the wrong side (unless forced to do so by slow moving traffic), who do not drive slowly past stationary i ramcai% and who do not give notice of their intention to stop or to turn to the light or left. Other matters mentioned are the need for noting if the driver of any car is under the influence of liquor, and those who unduly speed across intersections without sounding the horn. In order that no mistakes occur, members of this corps are requested to be careful to get the correct number of any oar; to be sure of the facts, and in obtaining details (to be on a card supplied), to be tactful and not officious.
