RECRUITS WANTED. APPLICATIONS are invited from suitable men desirous of enrolment as- CONSTABLES in.the New Zealand Police Force, which has many advantages,in pay, emoluments, ' and; peiision, arid offers a good and attractive career to yourg men possessedwith the requisite qualifications as regards character, physique, and intelligence. The age-limits prescribed by Regulations are twenty-one to thirty years. Candidates who hve not attained the age of twenty : one years will be accepted provided they otherwise comply with the standard requirements, or are likely to fulfil them by the time they attain twenty-one years, of . age, or within a reasonable time afterwards. The standard of education -is Standard V, but in the case of candidates under twenty-five years of age a. lower certificate will bo accepted. Candidates received under the minimum age-limit will be given a course .of physical training and educational instruction to bring them up to the standards. The scale of pay for Constables is £5 5s per week on appointment, rising by increments to £6 2s 6d per week. A house allowance of 15s per week is also paid to married men not provided with free quarters.
