STATE ADVANCES
_ WELLINGTON, October 14. The receipts of the State Advances Department in each of its branches by way of repayment of loans for the six financial years from March 31, 1914, to March 31, 1920,' are set out in a return laid on the table of the House to-day on the motion of Mr W-A. Veitch'(Wanganui). The following are the totals for each branch for the six years' period : Settlers' branch, £4.048,529. Workers' branch, £1,008,977. Local authorities' branch, £207,225. Publio Debt Sinking Fund branch, £109,366. Advances Office Sinking Fund branch, £137,868. Grand total, £5,511 965. The payments include ordinary instalments of principal and interest and repayments in full of loans not matured.
