TAIHAPE,. October 11., Nicholls's poultry farm, buildings, feed store, and poultry runs were destroyed by fire this morning. TAUPO, October 11. The Totara Timber Company's planimj mill at Putaruru was destroyed by fire on Sunday. The • damage is estimated at several thousand pounds'. . - TE KUITI, October 12. At midnight last night the proprietors of the big boarding-house, "Kopaki," discovered the place to be on fire, and aroused the boarders. The outbreak was located in a cupboard in the kitchen. The place burned like tinder, half the house being completely destroyed. Everything was lost.
