There is a pretty patch of _ narcissi, planted by the school children, in bloom on the town belt at Port Chalmers. The planting of bulbs on vacant spaces on the hill was first proposed by Cr Allen. The rector of the school (Mr G. F. Booth) receives the bulbs from anyone who has any to spare, and the children plant them ;n the town belt. A beverage for all time, all weathers — Wolfe's Schnapps.
