TROTTING STAKES.
CHRISTCHURCH, October 13. At ;i .meeting of the Hew Zealand Trotting Association to-day Mr Kitchingham drew-atten-tion to the inadequate stakes given for trotting events at manj' racing club’s meetings. He moved : “That in future no programmes be passed unless trotting events bo of the same average value as galloping events.” This was carried, and it was decided to circularise clubs in the direction indicated.
