Saturday. A numbr of small bridge parties were given on Monday evening. Mrs Dxi Croz gave a small .farewell for Miss Lilias Haggitt, who leaves next week for the North Island, where she is to be' married and make her future home. The guests were Mrs Colin Campbell, Mrs D. Ramsay, Mrs D. Stewart, Mrs H. S. Fenwick, Misses Neill, Haggitt, Ulrica. Mrs Cheeseman gave a small farewell the same evening for Miss G-. On Wednesday evening "Our Reveille" was opened at His Majesty's Theatre, almost every ceat was booked. As the interest had been growing' for' weeks past,, little bits of information were always bsing droppred about wonderful ballets and dances, so it was little wonder to find a large audience full of excitement and enthusiasm awaiting the rise of the curtain. A very pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Barnabas' Church, Feldalton, on Thursday, when Miss Janet Wells, daughter of Mr and Mrs Wells, Riccarton, was married to Mr Phillip Sherratt, of Gisborne. A wedding of considerable interest to Otago Central people was solemnised in the Methodist Church, Mornington, Dunedin, on Wedinesday, 25th March, the pontracting parties being Mr Russell H. Tregonning, eldest son of Mr W. H. Tregonning, Riverslea, Waipiata, and Miss Ada Hore, younger daughter of Mr James Hore, late of Ida Vale, Kyeburn, and now of Pioardy street, Mornington. The marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. B. F. During the supper Mr Silas Hore took the opportunity of thanking Mr and Mrs Tregonning and family for the open invitation to welcome the bride and bridegroom home to Waipiata, and hearty cheers were given for them.
