As the result of a big jump last week in the price of hides and skins, so Mr C. J. Ward, the Wellington boot manufacturer, informed a Dominion reporter, there would be an advance of 7s 6d in the price of the standardised boot, and 12s 6d in better class boots. Present prices could not be be his unpleasant duty to cancel oraej he had received for 27,000 pairs of boots.
