THE "RETORT COURTEOUS."
' OHRISTCHURCH, March 5. The chairman of the Royal Reception Sports Committee has reoeived the following telegram from the Minister of Internal Affairs: "In reply to your request in regard to the arrangements for sports, I read your telegram as meaning that the committee asks for power to reverse a decision, of the Government of New Zealand, of which public intimation has been given. I am unable to agree to confer that power."
