Although the recent outbreak of influenzal is on the wane, and comparatively few serious eases have occurred lately, many Aucklanders are suffering a malady, which, al« though mild and unaccompanied by an/ high temperatures or dangerous complications, is' exceedingly enervating and unpleasant, (says the Herald). The symptoms are pains in the eyes and head, accompanied by extreme soreness and feeling of weariness and heaviness in the limbs. One doctor stated that he had heard of dozens of cases within the last few weeks, - and considered it to be a. muscular affection, which was really a new and mild form of influenza.
