RAILWAYMEN'S DEMANDS.

AUCKLAND, February 28. The railwaymen at Penrose -Workshops passed a resolution strongly protesting against the delay of Mr Justice. 'Stringer's recommendation for increased pay, pledging; those present to support the Executive Council in any action taken. OHRISTCHURCH, February 29. At a meeting of the Canterbury branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants the following resolution was passed:—"We wish to place on record our hearty support of the other branches in protesting asrainst the delay in announcing the result of the recent inquiry into wages conditions in the' railway service, and demand that the report of the judge be made known; also, that the Governments decision be given at once."
