SUPPLIES OF SUGAR.
CONSIGNMENTS FOR THE SOOTH. AUCKLAND, September 20
Supplies of sugar for local consumption are being delivered by the Colonial Sugar Refining Company in quantities sufficient to meet immediate needs, standing orders being executed first. The company is desirous of filling orders for other parts of the dominion, consequently the lighterage plant is engaged to some extent in conveying consignments to the coastal steamers for shipment to the south. lir view of this, fresh orders for sugar have to wait until the orders on the file are completed.
