DEATH OF MR HEY.
The inquest on the bodv of William Waller Hey, who had boon killed as a result of tho capsizing of a taxi car driven by James William Mayall near Hampden on August 24, was resumed at Hampden on tho" 23rd before Mr Nicolson, J.P. (pcting coroner) and a, jury of six. Mr F. B. Adams represented tho relatives of the deceased, and Mr B. S. Irwin appeared to watch the proceedings on behalf of the driver of the car. Evidence was given by J. W. Mayall (driver of the oar), William George Lawless (warehouseman), who was a passenger in ihe car as far as Waikouarti, and John C3ordon (motor garage proprietor, of Palmerston), who examined tho car after the accident. The jury returned a verdict that deceased met his death through the car capsizing, and there was no evidence to show how the accident occurred.
