SLANDER ACTION.
GISBORNE. September 22. In the Supreme Court, before Mr Justice Chapman, William Leonard Butler sued Joseph Black for £IOOO damages for alleged slander. After a retirement of an hour and a-half the jury returned a verdict for tho plaintiff for £750.
