In Christchurch the Post and Telegraph Office has dispensed with the last ol th« women employees brought on specially to fill war time vacancies. About 14 were dispensed with at the end of February, and others sinoe then.
Mr R. B. Grange, of Wellington, has received a cable message from New York from his son-in-law, Lieutenant Grierson, who has received a highly-lucrative appointment as representative of a big! New York firm at Athens (Greece).
