Notice to Subscribers and Agents The publishers have found that the change of date in the issue of the Witness is not suitable for the majority of selling agents and subscribers.

The printed questions sent to our selling agents throughout the Dominion have been returned, with the opinion expressed by a large majority of them that any advantage gained by the recent change in publication day does not counter-balance the disadvantages that have accrued in many districts, such as those where delivery by cart with storekeepers' goods takes place, the Witness in many such cases not arriving in time for this. In other districts delivery of the paper promptly is impossible through restricted train arrangements.

The publishers have therefore decided to revert to issuing the paper on an earlier day in the week, and they have chosen TUESDAY as being the most suitable. This will secure delivery earlier in the North Island than previously, and will also enable subscribers and agents in the West Coast districts of the South Island to obtain delivery of their papers in every case, it is trusted, not later than Thursday.

In order that subscribers who are specially interested in the Burnside and other market quotations may receive these as soon as they are available, a SPECIAL EDITION will be published on THURSDAY, as was the case prior to the recent change in the day of publication.
