SEQUEL TO BOY'S DEATH.
AUCKLAND, August 21. The hearing of the charges against Angus Calder, of Mangere, in respect to the death of his seven-year-old son, was concluded to-day. Tho accused was found guilty on two minor charges of wilful ill-treatment, with a strong recommendation to mercy, and noti guilty on tho manslaughter charge. A sentence of four months' imprisonment was imposed.
