QUANTITIES IN THE UNITED KINGDOM.
WELLINGTON, August 25. Information nas been received that the quantity of meat in cold stores In the United Kingdom is 60,000 tons, equal to about 2,250,000 freight carcases. There is also a fairly large quantity of bacon and other meats, such as rabbits and poultry. The total cold storage space in Britain ia 200,000 tons.
