The Gazette contains a notification in connection with the restriction of the export of timber. The schedule is as follows : Maximum quantity of rimu for which permits to export may. be granted: Periods: July 1, 1919, to March 31, 1920 22,900,000 ft • April 1, 1920. to March 31, 1921, 27,000,000 f- April 1, 1921, to March 31, 1922, 24,000,000 ft. Maximum quantity of kauri for which permits to export may be granted: Periods: October 1, 1919, to March 31,
1920, 5,000,000 ft; April 1, 1920, to March 31, 1921, 8,500,000 ft ; April 1, 1921, to March 31, 1922, 7,000,000 ft. Maximum qxiantity of beech for which permits to export may bo granted:— Period: July 1, 1919, to March 31. 1920, 2,200,000 ft.
