IRON ORE DEPOSITS.
PROSPECTS OF DEVELOPMENT. CHRISTOHURCH, August 15. The Press states that it is understood that negotiations connected with the development of the Parapara iron ores and ironsands of Taranaki have recently reached a more or less definite stage consequent upon Australian capitalists or their representativea having shown some practical and direct interest in tho matter. It is understood that a representative of some Australian capitalists has indicated that the principals are willing to consider proposals for taking over the whole- of the concessions in respect to the Pararjara and Taranaki iron ore and sand deposits. The proposals include tho provision of a capital of £2,500,000.
