CONCERT AT EAST TAIERI.
Those present on the 27th at the annual invitation concert given bv Mrs Munro 1 s pupils in the East Taieri Hall were favoured with quite a treat. The various items submitted were all of a meritorious character, and reflected credit on both pupils and teachers. In the course of the evening pianoforte items were played by Misses Olive Murdoch, Ellie Snell, G.. Simpson, Irene Leith, Ina Wandelken, Bacon, and Ethel Mackay; and vocal items by Mrs Munro and Misses Williamson (2), M. Swan, Kobinson, Murdoch, V. Niven, A. Naismith, Hamilton, Pattie Purvis, Jean Allan, Gibson, and G. Simpson. Mr Vincent Bacon played a violin solo. The Rev. W. W. Brown presided, and on his initiative Mra Munro and her pupils were accorded a, hearty vote of thanks. A number of certificates were presented at the close of the programme, all the pupils presented for examination having passed. Supper was served, and a collection was taken up in aid of the children of the Dunedin Orphanages. -
