A man, who pleaded guilty to a. charge of evading payment for a railway ticket between Taumarunui and Ohakune, was fined £2 and costs. The accused slept from Taumarnuui to Ohakune, where he purchased a ticket to Marton. When challenged by the guard," the accused first denied his offence and then paid the fare and gave a vrrong name.
