TELEGRAPH MATCH. Play in the match Otago v. Wellington was concluded on Saturday night. Three games were- unfinished, and "will be referred to Christchurch for adjudication. Wellington has seven wins and Otago ono win, while four games were drawn. Mr A. Goodwin was a very capable operator, and a record number of moves was sent through eacli evening. Mr W. Alexander umpired for Wellington, and Messrs Watson, Gillies, and Harris were scrutineers. The results were as follow: Board 1. —R A. Cleland v. R. J. Barnos. The Otago player was not well enough to play, and a draw was agreed to. Board 2 —O. Balk v. W. E. Mason. A win for Wclb'ngton. Board 3. —Rev. N. Friberg v. W." Maokay. Reserved for adjudication. , Board 4.—A. Ellis v. F. K. Kelling. The Otago player resigned on his 28th move. Board 5.—H. J. Hamel v. T. Fouhy. Reserved for adjudication. Board 6.—L. D. Coombs v. P. G. Anderson. The Otago player resigned on ins 53rd move. Board 7.—S. S. Myers v. H. Godtschalk. The Otago player resigned on the 32nd move. Board 8. —C. Amtman v. Sim. A close game, a draw being agreed to. Board 9—A. E. Ward v. S. Gyles. The Otago man resigned early on the second night. Boaid IOt—W.H. Allen v. E. S. Taylor. The Wellington player resigned at the 45th move. Board 11.—H. H. Henderson v. H. E. Ward. The Otago player was a knight and two pawns up, hut the Wellington player managed to obtain a perpetual check, anJ a draw resulted. Board 12.—F. Warman v, Tanner. The Otago player made a mistake in his move, and his opponent, in a sporting manner, offered a draw. Board 13--C. H. Black v. S. Faulkner. Reserved for adjudication. Board 14.—D. H. Hastings v.
