WHARF LABOURERS DEATH.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES. WELLINGTON, August 7.' A coroner's inquiry was opened in regard to the death of George M'Kinty ; a Wharf labourer, whose body was found in a right of way at Parliamentary Buildings yeaterday morning. Dr Fyffe said that over the left occipital bone of the skull was an irregular depression about 2in long, but Ihe skin was unbroken. When the scalp was remored * large circular Repression of the skull was found. The indications were that death had been caused by direct violence from a blunfi instrument. In witness's opinion a_ fall w«i unlikely to have caused this condition, .*■ After more evidence the inquest wa» ad-' journed to allow further inquiries as to deceased's movements on the previous night.
