POST OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at the Chief Post Office, Dunedin, as under: THURSDAY, JANUARY 23.; For Rarotonga, Tahiti, Canada, America, Continent of Europe, and the United Kingdom, via San Francisco (per s.s. Moana, from Wellington), at Midnight. Late fees at the Railway Station on January 24, at 7.55 a.m. For- Australian States, Egypt, China, and Japan, Straits Settlements, and the East (per Manuka, from Wellington), at midnight. Late-fee letters at Railway Station on January 24, at 7.55 a.m. The 10 p.m. clearance of posting boxes has been resumed. All mails which formerly closed at 8 p.m. now close at midnight at the Chief Post Office. The city collection from posting boxes will be maintained. No late-fee letters at the Chief Post Office for mails closing at midnight, but letters may be posted at the Railway Station. Theodoee King, Chief Postmaster, Dunedin.
