EDUCATIONAL ENTENTE.
DR SIEGFRIED'S SUGGESTION, WELLINGTON, January 18. The possibility of an entente in education between France and New Zealand was mentioned by Dr .Siegfried, of the French Mission, in a conference with the Minister of Education, the chairman of the Victoria College Counoil, and professors of the college. In the course of the disoussion the ides vm* generally approved that it would
be an immense advantage if arrangements could be made for an interchange of professors and promising pupils, particularly those engaged in scientific research. Dr Siegfried «tated that he would do his best to further the Minister's suggestion in Franc* Mr Hanan then remarked that he fully ipproaUW the object put forward, and ttoA some good work might be done in the w*y oi correspondence with Frarjce. He would obtain from the profess*** 4l universities, lecturers of high schools, And head masters of primary school* &* names ot siudenta who were oapablo of corresponding wwh students in France.
