TAIERI BEACH SCHOOL.
Although the day was miserablo from a weather point of view, a very good time was spent on Saturday at the annual picnic of the Taieri Beach School. The attendance included some of the holiday-makers who are at present camped at the Mouth. Mr J. R. Wilson (of Milton) superintended a very long programme of sports, and in this ha was well supported by members of the School Committee— Messrs J. 0. Joseph, D. Milne, Henry and R. Joseph. The children eagerly competed for the prizes prepared for the occasion. Refreshments were handed round at the picnic, thanks to the forethought of the ladies. During the afternoon Mr J. R. Wilson presented the school prizes for 1318.
