EARLY CROMWELL.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —In reading "Early Cromwell," by Mr G. M. Hassing, I notice he says the only_ boat was at Wilkin and Thomson's station. -Well, in going to Skippers early in-'63 we crossed in a boat at M'Low and Gibson's store, about 10 miles up the Clutha from Cromwell. He may be right about the outlet of Wanaka and Wakatipu, but I think he must be wrong about the - boat. — I am, etc., Old Digger. Blaokstone Hill, January 6.
