NEW ZEALAND TROOPS.
SIR DOUGLAS HAIG'S MESSAGE. CHRISTCRURCH, January 10. The Governor-general has received the following message from Sir Douglas Haig:— I desire to convey the heartiest thanks of all ranks under my command for the inspiriting message on behalf of New Zealand. The New Zealand troops have a magnificent record. The manner in which they fought at all times materially. assisted in the successful termination of hostilities. They and all- other ranks join in sending the people of New Zealand best greet* ings and wishes for the new year!
