SEAPLANING.
ENCOURAGEMENT IN NEW ZEALAND. AUCKLAND, January 8. The nucleus of a fund as a prize for a flight by seaplane from Auckland to "WelHngfcon has been provided by the Hon. Mr Myers, who has offered to donate £IOO towards tho prize. His conditions are that
the flight must be made in a New Zealandbuilt seaplane by a member of the New Zealand Flying School at Kohimarama, and that the flight ia to be made in one day, two stops being allowed en route. The offer, whidh. holds good for four months, has been made with a view to stimulating interest in commercial aviation and the building of suitable machines for long-dis-tnace flying in New Zealand.
