The Mayor of Waihi (Mr Donaldson) has been successful in reaching a satisfactory decision with the Minister of Pensions regarding the speedy granting of the pensions to women in Waihi who lost their husbands throwgh the epidemic. The Minister has intimated that the magistrate will hear claims at Hamilton without the applicants attending, Instead of waiting for the next sitting of the court at Waihi, whioh does not take place for some time.
