Gainsborough's aucocaa is of particular interest to New Zen-laud sportsmen, as he was got by Bayardo from Rosedrop, by St. Fruaquin (brother to the Canterbury stallion San Francisco), from Rosaline, a inare by Trenton, the eon of Mustet, who ran second in
the Duncdin Clip in 18S5, and subsequently becarno a stud success after showing good form on the Australian turf. The Sunstar colt Blink, who .acted as runner-up to Gainsborough, is a half-brother (o Mr J. B. Reid's stallion Winkle, a handsome son of the St. Simon horse William the Third.] THE NEW OAKS. The New Oaks, run -at Newmarket today, resulted in Sionyford getting homo first, with My Dear second; Perry (who beat My Dear in the Ona Thousand Guinea Stakes) and Silver Bullet a <j*ad heat for third place. Sionyford; was disqualified for humping.
