THE PRESS DELEGATION.

NEW ZEALAND'S REPRESENTATIVES. WELLINGTON, June 8. The following have been selected to represent the press of Nov,- Zealand in response to tin; Imperial Government's invitation to visit England, subject to tlieir acceptance: Mr G. Fenwick, managing director, Otago Daily Times, Dmicdin; Mr F. Pirani, chairman of the provincial section of the Newspaper Proprietors' Association; the Hon. W. Geddis, editor Now Zealand Times; Mr C. Earle, editor of the Dominion, Wellington; Mr M. L. Reading-, editor of the Lyttelton Times, Ghristelnu-ch; and Mr R. M. Haeket, editor of the New Zealand Herald, Auckland.

Mr P. Selig, chairman of the Newspaper Proprietors' Association, was amongst those nominated, but stated that he could not accept the invitation, owing to pressure of business. Several other representatives of leading newspapers wrote slating that they could not leave New Zealand at the present juncture for the same reason. Mr L. Blundell, of the Evening Post, Wellington, was amongst those originally selected, but could not leave for private reasons. The first invitation mentioned was for five, but it is understood that it has since besn extended to six.
