Letters and Telegrams'must be addressed to "LEX," c/o Editor, Otago Witness, Dunedin.] Subscrieeb asks:—"A lends to B a sum of money on first mortgage of land and buildings. Is A entitled to demand from tho solicitor who transacted the business the mortgage, title deeds, and fire insurance policy?"——Answer: Yes. Weka asks:—"A owns a piece of land and gives the title deeds to B for safe keeping. B is induced by a land agent to sell the land. B sells the land and hands over the title dlseds, and informs A that he has sold it on his behalf. Has A any redress?" —— Answer: A can repudiate the sale and demand the return of the title deeds. X. Y. Z.—(l) Before you can compel the purchaser to carry out his agreement you will require to apply to the Supreme Court under the Mortgages Extension Act. (2) You should request the purchaser to carry out his agreement. If he refuses to do to, you. should apply to the Supreme Court. Bush Lawyer.—The beneficiaries in the estate are entitled to obtain from the Public Trustee particulars as to the estate. If ho refuses to give the required information, action can be taken in the court to obtain the necessary particulars.
