A MADMAN'S ACT.
HAMILTON, June 8. A young man named Thomas Arthur Casham stabbed himself several times in tho region of the heart and neck at Frankton Junction railway station. Ho was secured by tho police and taken to a hospital, where an hour later he attacked Dr Joseph and an assistant. A desperate struggle followed, and the police were summoned. The man, who was not seriously hurt, was taken to Avondalo Asylum.
