NEW ZEALAND ALLIANCE RESOLUTION. WELLINGTON, June 8. The executive of the National Council of the Now Zealand Alliance has resolved that a petition be presented to rarliument next session praying for legislation to enable a poll to be taken this year, on the basis of the National Efficiency Board's proposal, for
I th< complete and immediate prohibition of | the liquor traffic on a simple majority vote. The executive further declares that it views ! with grave concern the information just rcI coived that wet canteens were provided upon several transports which recently brought returned soldiers to the dominion. The oxeoutivc considers such action a most serious violation of the declared t Jiey of the dominion, and calls upon the Government to take steps to pat an immediate stop to this practice.
