TAIERI PIPE BAND.

Tho public of Mosgiel patronised the annual concert of the Taieri Pipe Band on Saturday night very liberally. "A first-class programme was contributed, and the audience appeared to enjoy tho items very well. Mr George Gordon (president) was chairman. Tho programme was arranged and staged by Mr T. Ritchie, of Dunedin. The Taiexi pipera were assisted by the Dunedin Pipe Band, and each organisation played a selection during the evening in addition to parading Gordon road before the concert. Highland dances were given by Misses W, Robinson, J. Riddell, violet Paterson, and Messrs W. __ Maokenzie and J. Anderson. Miss Ivy Mazengarb recited in both parts of tho programme, and Misa Alma Lefevre contributed vocal ittiins. A male quartet, consisting of Messrs 0. 0. Scott, J. D. Cameron, $. Gilchrist, and S. G. Angell,

sang some very acceptable numbers, and also sang solos in turn. Mr G. Paterson infused some mirth into the programme with his humorous songs. Mr Pacey made an efficient accompanist. The National Anthem was sung at the close of tho programme, and a dance followed.
