WAIHEMO DOG TRIALS.

The "Waihenio Collie Club's trials were a great Buccees. Large entries were received, and excellent weather prevailed. The work in the maiden events was rather disappointing; but some splendid work was put in in the open events. Mr John Anderson (of Paerau) • acted as judge. A sheep-guessing competition was held both days. A presentation to the judge of a suit case was made by the president (Mr C. Chapman), who spoke in high terms of Mr Anderson. The surplus—a satisfactory amount—is to bo handed to Red Cross funds. The following are the results: Maiden Heading. Class 1. Eighteen entries.—J. Trotter 1, A. W. Pearson 2,.T. D. M'Leod 3, D.
