TROUBLE AT KAITI FREEZING WORKS. GISBORNE, March : 1. The chambcrmen at Kaiti Freezing- Workg ceased work on Wednesday, 25 men being involved. _ . The Freezing Workers' Union does not approve of the men's-step, which was taken without the union being consulted. The union is assisting the company to find men to take the strikers' places, and the work ifl being continued without interruption. It is contended 1 that the men's action brings them within the war regulations. The union was negotiating with the local freezing companies for an increased bonus, and satisfactory arrangements were arrived at, but in the meantime the men referred to'ceased work.
