• CHRISTCHURCH INCREASES. CHRISTCHURCH, March 1. The increase noted in the Customs and beer duty collected at Christchurch for January of this year, as compared with the same month of 1917, is also noteworthy in connection with the returns for February. The comparative figures are: 1918. 1917. Net .Customs duties ... £39,106 £32,049 Bcor duty 3,022 2,059 Totals ... £42,129 £34,108 The increase for the two months of 1918 is £20,060.
