CHINESE WHISKY.
WELLINGTON, March 1. Ah Chang was fined £3O for illicitly selling Chinese whisky. It was stated in evidence that during the months of Novepiber and Deoember over 100 gallons of spirit, 2.7 underproof, had been handled by the defendant's firm. It was urged for the defence that the Chinese considered spirit medicine.
