ENEMY BRUTALITY AND BARBARISM. The Austrians and Germans continue to plunder, destroy, and rape like savages tin-oughout the occupied district*. Many women and girls committed suicide as a result of the soldiers' brutality. The inhabitants aro left (starving, as the Germans tear that they would revolt if taken to prison camps. The Italian Chamber of Deputies, by 340 votes to 44, passed a vote of confidence in the Government.
