PROGRAMME FOR 1918. Mat.. 15: Members' Meeting.—Papers to be in by. May 4. Members may write on any subject they choose, or send in quotations in prose or verse. June 12: "Some Suggestions for a Children's Library."—Papers to be in by June 1. Supposing you were going to build up a small library for a family of children, what books or what kind of books would you like to include in the collection? July 17: "South Africa." —Papers to be iii by July 6. I hope those members who have timo v/ill read up something about South Africa, because I do think that the more Ihe different parts of the Empire know about each other the better. I want brief descriptions of the country or of incidents in its history, or an account of any book (novel or otherwise) or poem written about it. August 14: '"Women as Citizens." — Papers to be in by August 3. This subject was suggested by Alpha, and, if I have understood her rightly, she wants some discussion on the best ways in which women may play their part as citizens of the community—as, in fact, members of the human race. . September 18: "Town and Countrt Life." —Papers should be in by September 7. This should bo a good subject for discussion, there being much to be said for the advantages and disadvantages of both. Which do you prefer? or which do you think the best kind of life? October 16: Discussion Meeting.—Papers 6hould be in by October 5. At this meeting the paperj that have appeared through the session may be commented on and points of interest discussed. After seeing other papers one often has fresh ideas to put forth on the different subjects.
