At a meeting held there recently an appeal for recruits met with only one response. This was from a resident who stated that he was 102 years old. Ho offered to fight the recruiting officer when he refused to accept him. The recruiting officer, in a report to headquarters, at Sydney, states that he Vas since verified the age.
